WORKSHOP 1:  NEW DATES T.B.A FOR 2018

“FROM CAPTURE TO OUTPUT” – IMAGE PROCESSING BASICS

COST $125.00 or $105.00 WITH DISCOUNT **

This course covers the fundamentals of image processing using Lightroom with a brief introduction into Photoshop and how the two programs work together.

 We will cover importing, cataloguing, ranking and sorting, plus the important steps in the Develop module necessary to make the most of your RAW files.  We will also teach you how to manage your catalogue, how to set it up for optimal control and the important task of making backups.  We will teach you how to export your files from Lightroom in a variety of formats as well as taking those special images into Photoshop for further work, or printing directly from within Lightroom.

 This course is suitable for people who are relatively new to digital imaging and gives a solid foundation towards more advanced processing steps

 Prerequisites:  All participants should be capturing RAW data, own their own laptop and have Lightroom and Photoshop installed and activated on their computer, as well as some images on an external hard drive or memory card, ready for use during the session. 

WORKSHOP 2:  NEW DATES T.B.A. FOR 2018

"THE FUNDAMENTALS OF WORKING WITH LAYERS IN PHOTOSHOP"

In this workshop, we teach you the principles of working with layers in Photoshop, how to make selective adjustments using adjustment layers and masks for a non-destructive workflow.  We teach you how to evaluate your images to decide where you need to make adjustments and refinements.

Prerequisites:  All Participants will need their own laptop and have Lightroom and Photoshop installed and activated.  You should be familiar with the essentials of image processing in Lightroom.  You will need to bring some images on an external hard drive or memory card, ready for use during the session.

WORKSHOP 3:  NEW DATES T.B.A. FOR 2018

"FROM LIGHTROOM TO PHOTOSHOP AND BACK"

COST $125.00 OR $105.00 WITH DISCOUNT

This is our most popular course.  We cover the advanced processing steps in Lightroom and Photoshop, including the preferred tools and processing, followed by adding refinements and enhancements in Photoshop.  We also teach you the basics of working with the NIK by Google plug ins for Photoshop and how to integrate them into your workflow.

We will teach you how to make the two programs work together and how to keep everything updated and synchronised between the Lightroom catalogue and Photoshop.

In this session, we will teach you the important tools necessary to evaluate your own images and decide how and where to carry out the enhancements needed to refine your images.  This session is a good lead in to our more advanced workshop covered in Session 4.

Prerequisites:  All participants should be familiar with Lightroom’s modules and use of layers in Photoshop.  Participants will need their own laptop with Lightroom and Photoshop installed and some sample images available for processing during the session.

WORKSHOP 4:  DATES T.B.A. FOR 2018

“ADDING BACK THE 3RD DIMENSION INTO YOUR IMAGES”  - ADVANCED EDITING IN PHOTOSHOP

COST $125.00 OR $105.00 WITH DISCOUNT

This is a new workshop that includes some advanced techniques that will add the “wow” factor into your images.  We teach advanced skills gleaned from working with some of the leading Australian photographers.  

We will include techniques for advanced blending and editing, demonstrate where Photoshop is “broken” and how to fix it to work for your image making.  We will also cover some theory about the use of colour in your images and see how we can learn from the old masters of painting and use their techniques to create the illusion of the 3rd dimension in your photographs.

This workshop will help you take your photography to the next level of skill and is an ideal lead in to our printing master class, where we teach how to translate the image into a stunning work of art.

Prerequisites:  All participants should be familiar with the use of layers in Photoshop.  Participants will need their own laptop with Lightroom and Photoshop installed and some sample images available for processing during the session.
 

WORKSHOP 5:  DATES TO BE ADVISED

“PRINTING MASTER CLASS”

COST $150.00 OR $130.00 WITH DISCOUNT** - INCLUDES A CANSON A4 SAMPLE PACK

In this workshop, we will teach you how to take your processed image files and print them using your own Epson or Canon printer.  Participants will have the opportunity to print their own images during the workshop after we teach you how to maximise the quality and settings for printing.  We will have on hand our own Epson Printers for use during the workshop and a variety of papers to use for printing.  This workshop will teach you how to print your own images to the highest standard possible.

 Prerequisites:  All participants will to have their own laptop with Photoshop installed and activated, plus some sample images to prepare for printing.

·        Courses are available on a first come basis.  Workshops will run for a minimum of 6 participants.

·        No refunds or cancellations if less than 4 weeks from the workshop date.

·        Should the course be cancelled due to insufficient numbers, we will provide a full refund or transfer to another workshop of your choosing.

·        Should the proposed venue be unavailable for any of the workshops, we will arrange a suitable alternative in a location nearby.
